Job Description:


Summary of Duties:      Prepares commercial loan documents in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined in the loan approval.

 Essential Functions:

  • Create and deliver accurate loan documentation in a timely manner while ensuring that the final package correctly incorporates the terms of the credit approval document, as well as internal and regulatory credit and policy standards.
  • Ensure that loan packages prepared by outside counsel meet the same documentary standards as our internally prepared document packages.
  • Reviews necessary documents to ensure BOAA’s security position for collateral and repayment.
  • Works independently to coordinate the closing of loan requests with multiple lenders in a variety of locations and title companies.
  • Completes follow up work to ensure the perfection of BOAA’s collateral position.
  • Completes post-closing work including but not limited to the imaging of customer documentation files and the coordination of funding for multimillion dollar closings.
  • Updates and maintains spreadsheets to track insurance, mortgage and title policies.
  • Develop and maintain a strong, interactive and effective partnership with commercial business partners and teammates.
  • Ensure the integrity of the bank’s loan accounting system
  • Assumes additional duties as requested.


Experience and Skills:

Position Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree preferably in accounting or finance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Up to one-year previous experience in commercial loan documentation is preferred but not required.
  • Sharp critical thinking skills are required to effectively trouble-shoot moderate to complex loan issues.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills, solid time management skills and a well-developed ability to multitask.
  • Proficient with technology and the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong customer service skills both verbally and written.
